MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have renewed their collaboration with the American Gaming Association (AGA). Together, they are promoting Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM) in the United States this month. As part of the partnership, MGM Resorts will increase the promotion of the GameSense responsible gaming program. It will appear more frequently and in more prominent locations during each NFL game.
They will show a transparent and proactive commitment to guests and customers about playing responsibly.
GameSense will promote actions in Acrisure Stadium (Pittsburgh Steelers), Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas Raiders), Empower Field at Mile High (Denver Broncos), Ford Field (Detroit Lions), GHEA Field at Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City Chiefs), M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore Ravens), MetLife Stadium (New York Jets), Nissan Stadium (Tennessee Titans), and State Farm Stadium (Arizona Cardinals).
Rhea Loney, Chief Compliance Officer at BetMGM, commented that they are excited to bring responsible gaming initiatives to fans. These initiatives will be featured at NFL stadiums again this season.
She also added that they are setting a new standard for safety and awareness in the industry. At BetMGM, they believe that protecting their players and promoting responsible gaming is essential to the future of sports betting.
BetMGM will run ads in the next few months. These ads will feature its brand ambassadors sharing engaging messages. They will be similar to the responsible gaming commercial with NHL star Connor McDavid.
MGM Resorts is contributing $440,000 to fund responsible gaming research. This funding will support the International Center for Responsible Gaming and the Kindbridge Research Institute.
The funding will promote industry best practices. It will also address significant research gaps in understudied populations, including female military veterans, as targeted by the institute.
Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at MGM Resorts, Stephen Martino, noted that the importance of funding research into responsible gaming cannot be overstated.
He added that, as a leader in the gaming industry, it is imperative for their company to support efforts in understanding the diverse impact of gaming. This includes studying populations that may be at greater risk of developing problematic behaviors.
