Recently, the news portal Yogonet was mistakenly included in the list of illegal platforms to be taken offline. This is by the order of the Ministry of Treasury. Publishing the editorial “The Silence of Information” the following day, iGaming Brazil promptly showed solidarity with the Yogonet team.

In the editorial, it appears that “This act doesn’t just harm press freedom. It reveals a troubling trend. Those in power manipulate or silence information that is essential to democracy.” Public opinion makers label our market, the betting market, as wrong without considering the facts or the truth.”
According to the news itself, Yogonet is not and has never been a bookmaker. There is no operation of sports betting, online gaming, deposits or withdrawals on the portal.”
The media company has been producing B2B news focused on the legal industry for over two decades. It shares information and advocates for regulation, responsible gaming, integrity, and best practices in the sector.
The federal government’s failure recently led to blocking the Yogonet website across a large part of the country. The resumption of activities only took place a few days ago after contact with the Prizes and Betting Secretariat or SPA.
In an editorial published previously, the Yogonet team wrote, “With the mistake resolved, Yogonet thanks everyone who expressed support in the face of the situation. In particular, we would like to thank our colleagues for their concern and help in finding a quick solution to the blockage: Carlos Cardama and Gildo Mazza of Games Magazine Brasil, who were the first to contact us to alert us about this news; Maghno José, editor of BNLData, for his support and commitment in accompanying us and resolving this problem; Alessandro Valente of BiS SiGMA, for speaking out in favor of our trajectory; Flávio Figueiredo of iGaming Brasil, for his important editorial and help in resolving the issue and, in particular, to the lawyer Luiz Felipe Maia, who advised us very quickly and managed to help us, incredibly quickly and efficiently, to resolve the problem – understood with our complaint to SPA.”
