Google will lift a restriction on targeted and personalized advertisements for online social casino games. Google will remove social casinos from the restricted Gambling sensitive interest category. It will take effect from December 4.
Action Network reports that this move will allow social casino ads to appear on the websites consumers visit regularly. This covers all forms of social casino like slot, poker, and roulette.
Google has not stated why it is removing social casinos from its exclusion list of advertisers.
From March of the following year, it is expected that Google will remove alike restrictions on all other advertisers. This allows any company to run targeted adverts. Nevertheless, Google may issue warnings and suspend the accounts of repeat offenders if advertisers violate the Personalised Ads Policy.
Since the wider legalization of sports betting in the United States, a survey shows that more NHL players are experiencing harassment from fans.
33.1% of 161 players who responded to the survey by The Athletic said they now face more harassment. This ranges from fans venting their frustrations over a losing bet to demanding players pay back their unsuccessful wager.
Some players even admitted to receiving death threats in connection to sports betting. One player said they get some scary messages out there.
Another player said that they’re demands, not requests. They say they owe them $200 because they were on the ice when… and it’s insane.
Federal authorities are investing Hysier Miller, a former Temple University player over betting manipulation in the United States. ESPN reports that Miller is facing allegations of wagering on his own games and manipulating the outcomes of games he played in.
In the off season, Miller is no longer with Temple having transferred to Virginia Tech. Yet, while the NCAA has also opened an inquiry into Temple games, he has since been dismissed after the probe launched.
