As network look to improve user engagement by real-time data-driven notifications, the integration of Excitement Analytics into FanDuel Sports Network’s platform follows regulatory developments in the sports media and betting industry.
A collaboration with Are You Watching This?! or FanDuel Sports Network has announced RUWT’s integration of real-time sports excitement alerts into its platform.
The Excitement Analytics of RUWT will give automated notifications to FanDuel Sports Network app users, identifying major in-game moments like overtime finishes, record-setting performances and close contests.
The integration will allow FanDuel to use RUWT’s analytics within its Customer Relationship Management System to generate targeted alerts. The goal is to encourage higher viewership engagement by notifying users when games reach significant moments.
The notifications will be based on real-time data. It will target to enhance the coverage of the network of 30 NBA, NHL, and MLB teams. Moreover, providing users with context together with the alerts, the system of RUWT will generate summaries explaining why a game is notable.
In the past months, FanDuel Sports Network has expanded its interactive features. The company reported that nearly 3.5 million customers have engaged with its “My Spend” responsible gaming tool. This is during the 2024/25 NFL season. The tool allows users to track their betting activity and set limits.
Aside from the responsible gaming tools, FanDuel has focused on live sports integration. The company announced a collaboration with the PWHL or Professional Women’s Hockey League this year. This makes FanDuel the official sportsbook and in-app streaming partner. The deal provides users access to up to 90 PWHL games directly within the FanDuel platform.
