The companies announced plans to expand their presence in street culture and live events by the 2025 SLS Championship Tour. Stake, an online gaming giant, has signed a global collaboration with Street League Skateboarding (SLS).
The collaboration will begin with Stake as Presenting Rights Partner at SLS Miami and the SLS Takeover in Santa Monica in early 2025. It will run throughout the current tour season and end with the Super Crown final in São Paulo in December.
Under the deal, Stake will gain prominent branding at SLS events worldwide. This includes signage on skate course features and across broadcast segments. The partnership also includes original branded content like “What’s at Stake”, an event preview series, and Game of S.T.A.K.E. This is a creative spin on the traditional Game of Skate featuring head-to-head matchups between SLS professional skaters.
Stake will also serve as the Presenting Partner of the annual Trick of the Year contest. Open to skateboarders worldwide, the winners will be announced in December.
CEO of Thrill Sports, parent company of SLS, Frank Lamicella, said that they’re excited to welcome an exciting brand like Stake to the SLS family. This partnership will deliver innovate activation elements and experiences to both their brands and fans as they travel the world for the 2025 SLS Championship Tour.
Stake’s Chief Marketing Officer, Akhil Sarin, said that skateboarding is more than sport, it’s fashion, music, culture, and raw energy. That’s exactly the space Stake loves to play in, and SLS is the perfect partner to bring that to life. This alignment makes it an excellent partnership for their brand.
The collaboration builds on wider marketing strategy of Stake, which includes sponsorships in sports, live entertainment, and digital communities.
