The Board Control for Cricket in India or BCCI and IPL Governing Council have decided to use the platform of the tournament’s finale to honor the armed forces and pay homage to the victims of the tragic incident.
Confirming the development to IANS, Arun Dhumal, IPL Chairman said that they have invited all three services chiefs of the Indian Armed Forces to attend the IPL final on June 3 in Ahmedabad. The theme is to honor their heroes of Operation Sindoor.
The BCCI has officially extended invitations for the high-profile finale. They invited the CDS (Chief of Defence Staff), COAS (Chief of Army Staff), Chief of Naval Staff, and Chief of Air Staff.
