To date, Brazil has awarded up to 43 full betting licenses. This follows another eight companies receiving full authorization to operate in the market as of February 18.

The SPA, or Secretariat of Prizes and Bets, authorized this third batch of full betting licenses. It marks nearly seven weeks since the legal online betting market launched on January 1.
During this time, 14 operators received full authorization to operate in the market. Later, on February 11, a second round granted full licenses to 21 more operators.
An ordinance published in the Official Gazette of the Union outlined the latest round of approvals. It authorized 18 more brands, bringing the total to 191 fully licensed brands.
EstrelaBet is one of the more notable names to receive its full betting license today. On the other hand, F12 was among the first 10 to apply for authorization also received a definitive license.
In December, seven of the eight new full licensees received provisional licenses before the market’s launch. This allowed them to operate normally while resolving application issues like certifications.
Hiper Bet is the exception. It recently have a provisional license. On February 18, 2030, its five-year full betting license will end. On December 31, 2029, the other full licenses awarded will end.
Furthermore, court orders have granted seven companies permission to operate provisionally.
Atlantis Comercio Eletrônico e Software House Ltda and its brands—MetBet, EsportivaBet, and MetGol 100%—are the latest additions.
The SPA guaranteed application processing before the market launch for companies that applied before the August 20, 2024, deadline.
Yet, Atlantis received no notification from the regulator other than a request for documents on January 17. The court ordered the SPA to grant Atlantis’ brands provisional permission to operate after failing to process its application on time.
