Caesars Entertainment is selling the brand to NSUS Inc. This comes just weeks after concluding the biggest edition of the live World Series of Poker (WSOP). NSUS Inc is the parents company of online poker GGPoker. The release states that the deal is worth $500 million. This includes $250 million being paid in cash up front and another $250 million due in five years.

Over the last few years, GGPoker has worked closely as a partner with WSOP. It sends a number of online satellite qualifiers to both the Las Vegas and the WSOP Paradise events. The site also hosted an international online WSOP tournament series during COVID, awarding 54 bracelets.
Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital, stated that they’ve enjoyed a longstanding and successful partnership with GGPoker. This collaboration has significantly contributed to the growth of the WSOP brand. This transaction is an exciting step for Caesars as a company and the WSOP brand as it continues to evolve. They are eager to see how NSUS will further grow the WSOP’s legacy in poker. They also look forward to continuing to provide an unmatched and familiar experience to poker players in the future.
Even if Caesars is offloading the brand, it is not offloading the events. The summer series will continue to call Caesars properties in Las Vegas home as part of the agreement. Regional Caesars properties will continue to offer World Series of Poker Circuit events too.
Michael Kim, CEO of NSUS Group, expressed excitement about their new role in leading the World Series of Poker, the world’s most renowned poker brand. After years of collaboration with Caesars Entertainment, NSUS Group, the operators of GGPoker, is thrilled to take on this responsibility. They plan to leverage GGPoker’s cutting-edge technology and industry expertise to shape an exciting future for WSOP, ensuring players enjoy an increasingly improved, safe, and seamless poker experience. Under new leadership, NSUS intends to expand WSOP worldwide, positioning it at the forefront of poker’s growth.
