BETBY is bringing together three of the biggest names in chess. This one-of-a-kind activation will make history at ICE Barcelona 2026.
Marking their first joint public appearance, Magnus Carlsen will meet live in Europe. Hikaru Nakamura and Levy Rozman, also known as GothamChess, will join him.
On January 20, the event will take place inside Fira Barcelona Gran Via. Visitors will have the chance to see the chess phenoms up close.
Carlsen is a five-time World Chess Champion, as well as widely regarded as the greatest player in history. He now serves as the global brand ambassador of BETBY.
The current world number two and five-time US Champion, Hikaru Nakamura, will join him. Also joining is Levy Rozman, whose GothamChess YouTube channel has over 7 million subscribers. Rozman has played a major role in bringing chess into the mainstream audiences by streaming and online content.
This activation is a central moment in the second stage of the ongoing global campaign of BETBY with Carlsen. It is titled “Leaders Chose Leaders”.
The campaign aims to position BETBY as a trusted partner for iGaming operators. It draws a parallel between strategic excellence in chess and smart business decision-making.

Since then, the business has expanded the variety of its chess betting options ahead of competitions such as Esports World Cup, where Carlsen secured the inaugural title.
