GGPoker has confirmed the withdrawal of its license from the regulated Czech Republic online gambling market.
The Czech Ministry of Finance granted a license to the leading online poker platform in January of last year. This is by a collaboration with King’s Resort, a land-based operator. Nonetheless, GGPoker.CZ never launched. The license was never made use of to offer services to players in Czech Republic.
Pokerman.CZ, a local media outlet reported recently that GGPoker was no longer listed on the official roster of licensed operators maintained by the Czech Ministry of Finance. GGPoker’s name was absent in the June update. This is while its license appeared on the list in May.
A GGPoker spokesperson has confirmed the company’s exit from the market. They stated to PRO that they are reevaluating their partnership and company structure for that jurisdiction. The spokesperson confirmed that the withdrawal was voluntary. They also indicated plans to reapply for a license when the company is ready.
