Online casinos represented the biggest revenue increase. It generates 7.8% GGR growth on the past year with DKK264 million. This is while betting rose by 0.7% to DKK149 million.
It was still some way off the record amount in March amounting DKK309 million. This is in spite the upturn in online casino revenue.
On the previous to DKK149 million from DKK148 million, sports betting revenue was up slightly on 2023. This is despite of it dropping from GGR in June of DKK271 million at the height of the Euro 2024 tournament.
For 51.25% of total GGR that online casino accounted, sports betting makes up 26.9% of the sector.
In July of last year, the split between verticals was only slightly different. This is when online casino accounted for 48.69% of GGR.
Casino spending dropped 9.4% year-on-year to DKK29 million on the land-based side. On the other hand, slot machine revenue also fell 5.2% to DKK92 million. From the last month, casino revenue was also down 9.3%.
Slot machine GGR dipped as well in June on a monthly basis from DKK97 million.
The regulator noted that 51,226 players signed up for its national self-exclusion scheme, ROFUS, in July. The figure includes 17,157 temporarily excluded players and 34,069 fully excluded players.
Between July of the past year and 2024, ROFUS registrations jumped 11%. Females accounted for 22.67% of the excluded players, while males made up the remaining 77.33%.
Since June, 1.63% has increased for ROFUS self excluded players. This is when the regulator reported total GGR of DKK703 million.
