The Rio club has presented a project for red and black betting. The contract could bring at least 82.5 million rupiah to the club.
Last July 29, the advisory board of Flamengo, voted for the Rio club to enter the Gasologa land auction. This will soon have a new agenda to discuss. After a long time, the marketing department has sent the idea of a red and black betting license to the consultant. This is Flabet.
Within around ten days, voting is expected to take place.
According to “Ge,” Pixbet manages Flabet. It is a company that has a sponsorship or master contract with Flamengo. This will last until the end of 2027. Even though the name Rubro-Negro is mentioned, it will not only work with just football, but also with games from all teams. It will offer bets on matches from different clubs and sports.
The licensing agreement is an innovative commercial strategy for Flamengo.
Flamengo will receive the following amounts if the Board approves the license.
In 2024, R$10 million, in 2025, $R22.5 million, and in 2026 and 2027, R$25 million. To put it another way, R$82.5 million is already sworn to the fact. Furthermore, depending on the total betting avenue, the club can increase the new amount.
However, if the gross revenue from bets exceeds with minimum guaranteed value, Flamengo will receive 1% of the surplus. To put differently, this business model can bring a new and significant source of revenue for the club.
Yet, the board of Flamengo believes that the revenue of Flabet will be greater than those disclosed in initial projections. The objective is to form another source of income for the club.
