The battle between the supplier and trade union Evo-Union continues. Evolution has followed through with its threats to reduce Georgian staff.

Evolution has confirmed that it will initiate a redundancy process to reduce its Georgian workforce by 1,000 staff members. This comes after the company announced it would consider larger-scale layoffs in response to ongoing Georgian strike action at its live casino studio in Tbilisi.
The global gaming supplier attributed the layoffs to previous illegal actions taken by the trade union that have caused the clients of Evolution to stop from operating their live casino tables out of the Tbilisi studio of the company.
Evolution said when announcing the redundancies through its Facebook page that this regretful decision was not taking lightly.
The company added that this is a direct consequence of the union’s unlawful actions. These actions have negatively impacted Evolution’s operations in Georgia. They have also damaged Evolution customers’ perception of Georgia.
Evolution’s statement said that recent illegal actions by a local union have hindered the company’s ability to operate in Georgia. These actions have also harmed Evolution’s customers, many of whom no longer wish to operate their tables from Georgia.
Evolution referred to the impact of the Georgian strike action on its relationship with clients as causing permanent damage. It specifically names the illegal blockade as a reason for the permanent workforce reduction of the strikers.
Evolution will move most of its customer-specific tables to its other studios worldwide in taking the first steps towards reassessing its presence in the capital of Georgia. The dismantling and removal of client tables has already begun.
Evolution has created work opportunities for tens of thousands first-time workers as the statement continued. It offers the Georgian youth the opportunity to take the first step in their career in an international company.
