The Gaming in Germany Conference has announced its initial agenda for the 2025 edition of the yearly event. It will take place at the DoubleTree Hilton Ku’damm in Berlin on November 11.

The conference will open with a keynote from a senior representative of the GLL (Joint Gambling Authority of the Länder). This will be followed by a regulatory update from Dr. Joerg Hofmann, Senior Partner at Melchers Law Firm. Early sessions will also feature presentations from Mathias Dahms, president of DSWV (Deutscher Sportwettenverband), and the president of DOCV (Deutscher Online Casinoverband). These sessions will cover the state of Germany’s sports betting and virtual slots markets.
A second block of sessions will examine the threat of the black market. H2 Gambling Capital’s chief operating officer, Josh Hodgson, will present new data on the iGaming market of Germany. Meanwhile, Christian Heins, director of Tipico, will address how operators respond to unlicensed competition. Dr. Andreas Ditsche, CEO of iGaming.com, will discuss illegal affiliate marketing and the role of major technology firms.
The agenda also includes sessions evaluating the 2021 State Gambling Treaty. Speakers such as the vice president of games at ZEAL Network and Maarten Haijer, secretary general of the EGBA (European Gaming and Betting Association), will share perspectives on proportional regulation and industry priorities. Birgitte Sand, former Danish regulator, will also join a panel discussing a potential common reform wishlist.
Peter-Paul de Goeji, former ZEAL executive and managing director of NOGA (Netherlands Online Gambling Association), will chair the event.
In addition to regulatory and policy debates, the programme will feature business-focused breakout sessions on KYC (know-your-customer) procedures, AML (anti-money laundering), data protection, and payment solutions. According to organizers, they are looking additional speakers with expertise in media, marketing, affiliation, compliance, as well as operations.
