Brazilian betting brand Hanzbet will stop operations by the end of July. This follows a breakdown in its relationship with license holder EA Entretenimento e Esportes Ltda. The dispute has led to public accusations by Eduardo Peres, Hanzbet founder and Chief Marketing Officer. He described the situation as a true operational dictatorship.

Earlier, EA Entretenimento announced that Hanzbet’s operations would wind down by July 31. The site remains accessible only for users to withdraw their balances.
Peres claimed in a LinkedIn post on Monday that the company made the announcement without informing or consulting the Hanzbet leadership team. He added that the team locked him and his colleagues out of internal communication channels and completely excluded them from the decision-making process.
According to him, the abrupt move has suspended payments to affiliates, suppliers, and service providers.
Furthermore, Peres alleged that EA has been actively diverting Hanzbet customers to BateuBet, its other platform, by the support channels. He described the move as revolting and disrespectful — not only to their history, but also to the partners and all the professionals who worked hard to build Hanzbet.
Peres urged caution among other operators working under similar licensing arrangements, emphasizing that not all apparent collaborations are genuine.
He wrote that if you have an operation allocated under another company’s structure, be aware. Analyze who you are hanging out with. Not everything that looks like a partnership is, in fact, a partnership. They are taking all legal and appropriate measures. And above all: they will fight to the end for what is theirs.
Peres also raised concerns about whether customers would be able to withdraw their funds. He alleged that EA drained the company’s liquidity. At the same time, they informed users they had until the end of July to access their funds.
