According to Equimore’s study, the 2025 editions of ICE and iGB Affiliate supported about 3,100 part-time jobs. They also generated an estimated €191 million ($224 million) in economic impact. This benefited Barcelona and the wider Catalonia region.
The two business-to-business events drew attendees from 186 countries. They generated 121,000 overnight stays. Hotels, restaurants, transport services, venues, and event production companies all benefited. The study calculated that non-local attendees spend an average of €449 ($531) per day.
The analysis used an input-output model to capture direct spending tied to organizing, exhibiting, and attending, and secondary effects on local suppliers and the broader economy. It also measured induced impacts from wagers earned by those employed directly or indirectly through the events.
Managing Director of Clarion Gaming, Stuart Hunter, said that after many successful years in London, they made the decision to relocate to Barcelona with a clear ambition: to evolve, to grow, and to offer their global community an even greater platform for connection and innovation.
He added that several key factors shaped the industry’s experience in Barcelona, making ICE and iGB Affiliate 2025 truly exceptional. World-class exhibitors showcased an outstanding cross-section of global gaming innovation. The Clarion Gaming Team, collaborating seamlessly with partners at Fira GranVia, demonstrated why they’re regarded as the best in the business.
Hunter also stated that the results speak for themselves–a record attendance, exceptional exhibitor engagement, and an impressive €191 million in economic impact for the Barcelona and Catalonia economy boosted by a large international business audience. They can’t wait to see everyone again in January 2026.
The organizers have scheduled the next editions of ICE and iGB Affiliate for January 2026 in Barcelona.
