IGT has gone live with its igaming content, PlayDigital in the US state of Rhode Island on the Bally Casino.
IGT PlayDigital content is now live across all seven jurisdictions as a result. These include those which have launched igaming in the US.
Craig Eaton is Bally’s Rhode Island Operations President. Bally Casino announced its pleasure. They are offering IGT PlayDigital’s legendary game portfolio to their players. This will be available from the first day of online gaming in Rhode Island.
Eaton added that they have created a top-tier player experience at Bally Casino. Players have the convenient opportunity to experience many of their favorite IGT slots such as Cleopatra, Cats, and Wolf Run. This can be done at any time and from any location inside Rhode Island.
Recently, IGT reported its financial outcomes. Across the full year last year, they declared a 10 percent improvement for its PlayDigital segment. It amounted to 229 million dollars. In 2022, it was 209 million dollars. This was fueled by igaming growth in several regions.
The overall company revenue grew by two percent. When considering the net of the Italy commercial services sale, it increased by seven percent. It amounted to 4.3 billion dollars, or 4.2 billion dollars in 2022. Global Gaming increased by 36 percent, while PlayDigital increased by five percent. Global Lottery generated 59 percent of the revenue.
Everi Holdings will be merging with IGT. It is the Global Gaming and PlayDigital businesses. This is to create a global leader in gaming equipment, fintech services, and casino systems.
IGT will be merging its Global Gaming and PlayDigital segments – Gaming & Digital. It is expected to be completed in late 2024 or early 2025, ahead of the upcoming merger. This is for Q1 2024 onwards for the reporting periods.
Gil Rotem is the IGT President of iGaming. He commented that IGT PlayDigital is thrilled. They aim to extend the reach of their market-leading games and promotional tools portfolio to players in Rhode Island. This is through their strategic partnership with Bally’s Corporation.
