The Dutch Gambling Authority announced that it has issued penalties to numerous influencers. Authorities previously sanctioned Turcos, and now streamers Stiefunspeelt and Buurtwacht have received the same measures.
The Dutch Gambling Authority penalized the three influencers for promoting illegal online gambling on their social media platforms. Moreover, they encouraged their followers to gamble at these illegal online casinos, the Dutch Gambling Authority explains on its website.
The Dutch Gaming Authority refers to two YouTube videos by the streamer, in its decision. He posted “10 BONUSES OPEN NOW!!! | ARE WE GOING TO PRINT TODAY? (24+) €1000 STAR” on July 21 of the current year, in which he played on the illegal gambling site Skyhills.com. This includes the Starlight Princess 1000 slot.
A few days later, “20 BONUSES OPEN NOW!!! | ARE WE GOING TO PRINT TODAY? (24+) €25000 START” followed, featuring games such as Whacked and Mental 2, with Skyhills prominently featured again. In addition, the influencers actively directed viewers to the site through the chat.
Danny Derix, better known as Buurtwacht, and Buurtwacht, was sanctioned for promoting illegal betting through YouTube, as well as Instagram, the Royal Netherlands Gambling Authority of KSA reports on its website. He repeatedly referred to the illegal online casino Skyhills in the Netherlands.
For instance, he said in a video on June 12th, that he was betting at Skyhills, while actively playing the well-known online slot Sugar Rush. He also posted an Instagram story with a direct link to the gambling site. He also encouraged viewers to gamble at the unlicensed online casino by his link in the July 17th video. This brought the illegal gambling site to the attention of over 9,700 YouTube subscribers, as well as 66,000 Instagram followers.
