ALVA conducted a deep and structured investigation designed to go beyond conventional forecasts, renowned for its work with organizations and leaders in building future scenarios and anticipating long-term transformations.
In the summer of 2024, Oddsgate launched the Gate of 2050 research project. It further developed the project during the SBC Summit in Lisbon and officially presented it to the market in its initial phase. The process spanned several months and combined rigorous analysis, multiple methodologies, and contributions from experts across various regions and sectors.
The result is more than just a report. It is a strategic overview of potential developments in the iGaming industry. This includes online betting, digital casinos, and games of chance over the next 25 years. It offers deep analytical insights and sparks meaningful reflection on the global future of the sector.
From a multifaceted methodology that included document analysis, desk research, 200 surveys conducted using SBC Lisbon, as well as interviews with 20 experts operating across different sectors and regions around the globe, the content stems. The researchers built the study to be truly global and cross-sectoral, incorporating voices from every continent.
The study also analyzed 21 transactional variables. These variables link iGaming to broader transformations affecting other industries. These include geopolitical and technological shifts, as well as social, economic, and environmental factors. The goal was to identify key drivers of change and build a consistent, thought-provoking vision of the future.
