The PlayCity State Agency fined LLC “KAZINO.UA” and LLC “BOOKMAKER COMPANY FAVBET.” The fines were for violating the law on interaction with the regulator.

Each of these gambling organizers received two fines for giving false information: 400,000 UAH; untimely responses to official PlayCity requests UAH 1.2 million.
PlayCity noted that they respond to every violation and all the appeals of the citizens ensuring compliance with the rules. This forms a legal and responsible gambling market in Ukraine.
They will remind that authorities tried a woman who organized an illegal gambling establishment in the capital in Kyiv. She received a fine of 170,000 UAH for this. Furthermore, authorities barred her from participating in activities related to organizing or conducting gambling for one year.
For illegal advertising of online casinos, the amount of fine for PlayCity is UAH 4.8 million. The regulator has repeatedly fined bloggers for this. After reviewing the content for legal compliance, authorities also ordered the owner of the “Trukha Ukraine” channel to pay UAH 4.8 million. As of today, dev.ua is appealing the fine.
However, PlayCity plans to review the approach to fines for advertising violations in the gambling market.
In an interview with Interfax-Ukraine, Gennady Novikov, head of the regulator, said that the agency does not set the current fine. It only enforces it, since the amount is prescribed by law. In the future, they plan to differentiate violations by the degree of social risk: the fine for advertising an illegal business will be larger, for less significant violations, smaller.
The state agency summed up the results of six months of work in December. The data shows that authorities blocked over 2,500 illegal online casino sites during this period. They also removed more than 280 social media pages advertising illegal services. Additionally, they imposed over UAH 32 million in fines on bloggers and media outlets for promoting without permits.
