Kieron Pollard and Nicholas Pooran scored whirlwind half-centuries. Their performances helped Trinbago Knight Riders secure a 12-run win against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Tarouba. The victory extended their dominance at the top of the points table.

Sent in, Knight riders saw themselves in early trouble. It was reduced to 27 for 2 in the fifth over and then 78 for 3 in the 11th. Pollard and Pooran launched a huge counterattack. They added 90 runs in just 8.1 overs, taking the score to 179 for 6. Patriots began the change strongly. However, their momentum soon faded. Seamer Nathan Edward took 3 wickets for 30 in 3.2 overs, while Mohammad Amir returned figures of 2 for 29.
This marked their sixth win out of seven matches this season. It was also the Knight Riders’ fifth consecutive victory in CPL 2025. On the other hand, Patriots suffered their third successive loss. Now, they have lost six of their last seven matches and are fifth on the points table.
With Jason Holder and left-arm spinner Ashmed Nedd striking, Knight Riders lost Colin Munro, as well as Alex Hales inside the powerplay. Although Pooran wasn’t going to hang back. While Darren Bravo struggled at the other end, Pooran kept up the attack. He smashed Nedd for three sixes in his first five balls, seizing the momentum.
Nonetheless, even Pooran took a backseat when Pollard arrived. The allrounder smashed three sixes in a Navin Bidaisee over to get going. He targeted Waqar Salamkheil in the next over, hitting four consecutive sixes to reach his fifty in just 21 balls. These included eight sixes and no fours.
Knight Riders were closing in on 170 by the time Pollard fell. A five-run last over from Holder stopped TKR from breaching the 180-mark. Nevertheless, it was going to be an uphill task for Patriots.
