Stake is marking its second regulated Latin American market with the rollout of Stake.pe as part of its strategic expansion. Stake.com has secured a casino and sportsbook license in Peru. This enables it to launch Stake.pe.
The regulated market follows Betfair Colombia’s acquisition in November 2023. As shown by August’s purchase of a licensed Italian operator, Idealbet, this push is going global.
Diana Otalora, Stake’s General Manager for Latin America, expressed delight in bringing Stake to Peru, highlighting the country’s significant potential for digital growth, which has become evident in recent years. This shows their ambition to provide world-class entertainment to Peruvian customers and to expand their reach in LatAm.
Jennyfer Escobar joins to lead Stake’s Peru online gaming push as country manager. She joins the team with a number of senior women leading the LatAm strategy of the brand. This happens after a short stint at Boylesports. There, she served as growth manager, as well as spending over six years at Inkabet. In 2021, Betsson acquired the company.
Escobar expressed her excitement about joining the Stake team and helping to guide their efforts in Peru. The Peruvian market has significant growth potential and they look forward to engaging even further with the region.
She added that she is excited to continue contributing to the dynamic world of gaming in Peru and drive to innovation in this evolving industry.
The company emphasized its commitment to responsible gambling practices and pledged to work closely with local representatives to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for its customers.
