Richard Flint is a former Sky Betting and Gaming Chief Executive. He has ruled himself out of the running for the Entain‘s CEO position.
During an interview, Flint told Sky News that he wasn’t interested in the CEO position at the FTSE100 company. The reason behind this is that he is happy in his current role as Chair of the dog food subscription service Butternot Box. He also chairs the premium ticket and hospitality platform Seat Unique.
Flint announced last January that he wouldn’t be standing for re-election as a Non-Executive Director at Flutter Entertainment. Furthermore, he would be stepping down from the board of directors. This will occur following the conclusion of the yearly general meeting of the company on May 1.
Richard Flint told Sky News to ignore what other bookmakers might say or the odds they might put out there. He is very much enjoying the package of things he has got on at the moment.
Since the departure of Jette Nygaard-Andersen in December 2023, Entain has been looking for a new CEO. Ever since, Stella David has been the company’s interim CEO.
Nonetheless, David will not be taking on the role permanently. Barry Gibson will instead replace her as Entain’s Chair. Near the start of April, Gibson announced that he is retiring.
He will retire from Entain’s board at the end of September. However, he could also step down from the role earlier than this. It depends on the timing of the appointment of a permanent CEO. The company says this process is currently ongoing and progressing well.
Recently revealed, Grainne Hurst will assume the role of CEO of the Betting and Gaming Council in the coming months. Hurst is Entain’s Group Corporate Affairs Director.
