The SGA or Swedish Gambling Authority has issued an immediate restriction against a gambling operator based in Curaçao, Simba NV. This is after finding out that the company had been offering gambling services to Swedish consumers without the necessary Swedish license. This decision followed an investigation into numerous websites operated by Simba NV. Authorities found that these websites actively targeted Swedish users.

The ruling of SGA stems from an in-depth investigation that revealed Simba NV was operating different gambling sites. These include Betblast.com, Slotmonster.com, and Foxygold.com. Authorities found that all of these websites were accessible and actively marketed to Swedish players. One of the key issues that led to the decision of the regulator was what these websites automatically defaulted to Sweden as the selected country when accessed from Swedish IP addresses. This violates the Gambling Act of Sweden, which requires operators targeting Swedish consumers to hold a valid Swedish gambling license.
Moreover, the SGA found that Simba NV’s sites were heavily promoted through Swedish-language affiliate marketing channels. It also noted that a Swedish-speaking content creator on Twitch advertised one of the sites, Foxygold.com. This further emphasizes the company’s targeting of the Swedish market without proper authorization.

Leading to the intervention of SGA, it doesn’t have a Swedish license.
The investigation of the regulator also uncovered that Simba NV was running at least 15 websites all in all. These include other domains like Wreckbet.com, Thehighroller.com, Puppybet.com. Klikkikasino.com., and Slot.it.com. These sites also targeted Swedish consumers by preselecting Sweden as the default country when accessed from Swedish IP addresses.
