Bypassing passwords and one-time codes altogether, Passkey lets Stake users verify their login with biometrics of a device PIN. This makes sign-in nearly instant, eliminates the hassle of password resets, and reduces vulnerability to phishing attacks.

Stake built its passkey to the globally recognized FIDO standard, the same protocol used by top tech companies. Three times higher than with passwords, Microsoft reports a 98% sign-in success rate with passkeys. PayPal reported a 70% drop in account takeovers after replacing passwords with passkeys.

Passkey rollout started in mid-September. Stake will gradually make it available to all users through their account settings.
