Stats Perform has obtained the global betting streaming and data rights to Volleyball World.
The 10-year agreement covers major volleyball events. These include the FIVB Men’s and Women’s Volleyball World Championships and the Beach World Championships, held every two years from 2025. It also includes the annual Volleyball Nations League and Beach Pro Tour.
The collaboration also includes men’s and women’s competitions such as the Italian Superlega and Italian Lega Volley Femminile. It also covers numerous Asian Volleyball Confederation events.
Chief Commercial Officer of Stats Perform, Alex Rice, emphasized that volleyball is becoming increasingly important for their licensed sportsbook partners. He noted that users love to watch and engage with the sport.
He added that volleyball is consistently one of the most-viewed events at the Olympic Games. Recent data also shows that it can attract as many bettors as the tennis majors. They are excited to help their clients deliver such captivating year-round content to their users.
Even if volleyball has not been a widely followed sports in markets such as the United States or United Kingdom, it has considerable fandom throughout much of Europe, specifically East and Southeastern Europe. These markets are some major operators such as Entain and Flutter Entertainment have been targeting through acquisitions.
Volleyball is highly popular in Eastern Europe. Its potential as a betting market and valuable data product is growing. This is also evident in sponsorship activity. For instance, Polish market leader STS collaborated with the national volleyball champions of the country back in 2023.
FeedConstruct established a similar agreement with Korea’s Volleyball Leagues and Cup competitions in November 2024. This further highlights the value of data rights in the sport. This saw the provider secure exclusive international streaming, as well as data rights for both the men’s and women’s matches.
