Entain, the British betting giant, has confirmed Stella David as its new CEO.

Following two stints as the interim chief in recent times, she assumes the role on a permanent basis.

A company statement confirmed the appointment of David. It takes immediate effect, succeeding Gavin Isaacs. Isaacs departed the company in February 2025.
She first took the reins after Jette Nygaard-Andersen left the firm in 2023. Since then, she has served as the interim leader.
The appointment should provide stability in the boardroom for the parent company of well-established gambling brands like Ladbrokes, Coral, and Bwin. It also brings certainty for the new CEO.
In a statement, David said Entain has a clear strategy and is making great strides in strengthening its operational capabilities.
She added that having taken the time to reflect, he is hugely excited to be leading the business going forward as Entain CEO as they accelerate their journey of improvement.
Stella David continued that Entain is a great business with significant potential. He is confident in its ability to deliver more success in the future.
David’s background and experience with the major gambling operator position her well for the role and its challenges. She also served as the company’s chairperson but vacated the position two months ago to step into the void left by Isaacs.
Pierre Bouchut succeeded as chairperson and has now praised David’s appointment for the consistency and stability it brings.
Bouchut stated that the board is delighted to have appointed Stella as CEO.
He also described her as an accomplished business leader with a proven track record across multiple industries. Stella has played a key role in shaping and executing Entain’s strategy to drive value for shareholders.
